awkward & awesome thursdays

Well guys, it's that time again.

Awkward
Reserving one of the conference rooms at the office and finding in the room a Dorothy costume {from the Wizard of Oz} and a giant dollhouse complete with furniture and dolls. It was creeping me out during the whole meeting. I guess that’s one of the perks of working for a children’s hospital! Check out our creepy friendly mascot!
--

The number of beauty products I have in the shower. I currently have SIX TIMES as many as the boys. Six. Times. Friends, don’t let me buy more shampoo or shaving cream. Ok?
--
Finding my house fully decorated with Easter-themed Beanie Babies after my mom came to visit. What is even more awkward is the three bins of those little critters that are stored in my parent’s attic. I was a really cool 12-year-old.
--
The contents of my snack drawer at work: top ramen {see last week’s post}, goldfish crackers, Annie’s cheddar bunnies, jolly ranchers, and raisinettes. Am I  6 years old? Next week I will buy healthier food. I pinky promise.
--
Overhearing my coworker respond to a question about the whereabouts of another coworker, “Well, her calendar says ‘running stairs’, but stairs must be an acronym for something…who would actually run up and down the stairs?”  Ha.

Awesome
Ordering three pairs of boots on Zappos. It feels like Christmas waiting for those babies to arrive!
--
Finally signing my taxes and getting them in the mail. Tax returns, here I come! Next up, buying more shoes.
--
Leaving the house for work in the morning and seeing a giant rainbow. Somehow that little burst of color makes the morning drive much better.
--
The roommate, seeing that the boyfriend and I were eating an extra healthy dinner of broccoli and quinoa, ordered an extra large pizza for himself because he knew we’d want some after our healthy dinner. Also, he showed up the other night with a UO blanket for me and a OSU blanket for the boyfriend. He’s awesome.
--
Showing up for Ben & Jerrys free ice cream day. Coffee ice cream, you made my afternoon.

Thanks to Sydney at

awesome & awkward idea!
